Special boiling point products
(Boiling range 35–140 °C)
Special boiling point products are mixtures of paraffinic and naphthenic hydrocarbons with a very low aromatic content, typical value < 50 ppm. By using suitable raw materials and hydrogenation processes, we are able to produce these products with only a mild odour. By varying the naphtenic content we can adjust the solvating properties.
Primary applications/processes:
- Solvents for the printing inks industry
- Solvents and thinners for the paints and lacquers industry
- Solvents for rapid-drying adhesives
- Solvents for adhesive tapes, adhesive plasters and rubber (e.g. tyres)
- Cleaning and degreasing agents
- Auxiliaries for textile processing
- Extractants for the chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and food industries (for the extraction of aromatics, vegetable oils and fats, etc.)
- Component in the production of impregnating agents and as a reaction medium (e.g. in polymerisation)
